Ashley Whitehead — Various pieces of Scroll Saw work which demonstrate the skill and the attention to detail required in this form of Wood Art.
Joe Costantino —- A number of Bandsaw Boxes. The first two front left and the one on front right were made from 3RT Designer Hardwood. 3RT is an Adelaide based Company that has developed a process that assembles veneers into 2500 x 500 x 200mm blocks using a water based nano glue, The veneers are cut from plantation thinnings that would otherwise end up as waste.
Gary King — The two trestles are from a plan that was published in the Australian Woodsmith magazine.
Ian Cardwell — This pen was turned from Avacado wood.
John Flanagan — This Mantle Clock was cut out of Huon Pine with a jigsaw after the piece was put through the thicknesser, The edges were rounded over with a router and the clock mechanism was recessed into the back. The wood was finished with polyeurathane.
Ian Wilson — The box was made to go under his desk. Its purpose is to hide computer cables and keep the area tidy. Ian also tried his hand at spoon making.
Warren Anker — These are game packs that he bought and brought in to show. It is a three person game called “Robbing the Orchard” and the playing instructions are included. I won’t try to explain it here. Since it consists only of a number of sticks it would be quite simple to make. Ask Warren for the instructions.
